Artist based in Valencia, Spain, born in Kentucky (US). BA with honors in Studio Art and Dance from Pomona College, California. Additional studies in Contemporary Dance at the Dance Conservatory of Valencia (Spain).
Co-creator of Matteria transdisciplinary dance company and LUGAR site-specific live arts collective. Past residencies include La Caldera, Centro Huarte, Theatre de Vanves, The Liminal, PADA Studios, & Artea LAB. Solo exhibitions: Imprints, Mutations, Liquid Skins, & Somaesthesia.
Moving between sculpture, installation, and performance, my work investigates synchronicities and porosities between material bodies. Within a trans-disciplinary practice operating between gallery, theater, and other landscapes, my work integrates material and somatic research as reciprocal ways of knowing. I work to de-hierarchize matter while investigate ways of re-experiencing the body to interrupt systems of power that binarize it. In the blurring thresholds of internal-external, animate-inanimate, organic-synthetic, and self-other, I look for a third thing, fertile with disruptive power. My current areas of research include material explorations of the skin, tactility, and porosity, organic found object sculpures, and a somatic-sculptural-performance project exploring the raw material of the organs.
